Welcome to Prague! At your airport of arrival, we shall be waiting with transport to take you to your hotel. Our guide will greet you at the hotel and provide you with all the necessary information. In the evening, we provide a transfer to the Old Town Square. This central location is full of energy and tourist activities. It’s a marvelous place to acquaint ourselves with Prague. Several restaurants offering cuisines from around the world will be waiting to delight your taste buds, including Czech, Chinese, Indian and Italian. Return to hotel.

PRAGUE
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: City tour of Prague. Visit to Castle. Boat tour along the river.
Today we are visiting this capital city, which is the Baroque jewel of Europe. Our local expert will provide a guided city tour, which will include the most outstanding monuments. During the visit we walk through Prague Castle (admission included). Subsequently, we shall take a magnificent boat tour along Moldava River. Free time in the afternoon to explore Prague. In the evening, we will enjoy some time off in the historical city center and there will be an opportunity for you to enjoy cuisines from around the world (including Czech, Chinese, Indian and Italian). Return to hotel.

PRAGUE > LAUF > WURZBURG > FRANKFURT
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Bavarian Landscapes.
We leave for Germany. In the region of Bavaria, we will see LAUF AN DER PEGNITZ, a picturesque little village which stands out for its busy Market Square and Castle. After this we will carry on to WURZBURG, with time for lunch and to see this Bavarian city on the banks of the Maine, a former bishopric centre and now a very busy university city.  Our journey continues towards FRANKFURT. Explore the historic centre and choose your favourite restaurant to dine in (from Indian, Oriental, Italian, International, and so on).

FRANKFURT > CRUISE ON THE RHINE > COLOGNE > AMSTERDAM
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Rhine cruise included.
Today we include a small CRUISE ON THE RHINE, between the villages of RUDESHEIM and ST. GOAR; undoubtedly the river’s most picturesque sector. After this we will travel to COLOGNE, a city which stands out for its immense Gothic cathedral. Then on to Holland. AMSTERDAM – arrival at the end of the afternoon – . At the end of the day, you will be taken to Rembrandtplein, one of the busiest squares in the city with plenty of restaurants (Indian, Chinese, Italian, and so on).

AMSTERDAM > VOLENDAM > ZAANSE SCHANS > AMSTERDAM
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Picturesque typical village of Volendam. Cheese and wine tasting in a farm. Tour of Amsterdam.
Today we have a very exciting day, we will visit VOLENDAM, a very picturesque fishing village. After this we will go to Zaanse Schans to photograph its mill and its typical houses and will visit the cheese farm with cheese and wine tasting included. In the afternoon we include a panoramic tour of AMSTERDAM to see its narrow canals, the Dam Platz, its official buildings and parks, and will also see the technique of diamond cutting.  Transfer to the red light district, with its liberal values and its many restaurants from all corners of the world. It is very likely that you will have heard about this neighbourhood.

AMSTERDAM > HAMELIN > BERLIN
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Visit the village that was made famous through the Pied Piper of Hamelin children’s story.

We leave Amsterdam for Germany. En route, we stop at HAMELIN, a picturesque German town. Here, many shops and streets remind us of the town’s legend: The Pied Piper of Hamelin, written by The Brothers Grimm. We continue toward BERLIN, arriving at the end of the afternoon. There is time to explore the Jewish quarter, an area that is full of life and which has many restaurants. You can choose your favourite food (Indian, Oriental, Middle Eastern, Turkish, German, and so on).

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS:
City tour of Berlin. We visit the Holocaust Me¬morial and the Berlin Wall Museum.
Ease your way into the local culture with a guided visit of Germany’s incredible capital, Berlin. We shall visit the historic centre, Museum Island, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gates and the city’s magnificent parks. We continue our visit by stopping at the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Museum. This visit helps us to understand the difficult situation the city experienced during the Twentieth Century. Time to explore the city. Enjoy an evening in the lively area of Kantstrasse, a district that offers different types of ethnic restaurants to dine in (Indian, Oriental, Italian, German, and so on).

BERLIN > DRESDEN > PRAGUE
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS:
Dresden city tour.
We journey through forests toward Dresden, a city which, due to its exceptional architectural and artistic heritage, has become one of the main tourist destinations in Germany. Time to explore some of the impressive palaces and to have lunch at one of its many restaurants and coffee shops. Later, we depart for the Czech Republic.

DAY 01 :
ARRIVAL ATHENS
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Transfer to Plaka district.
Arrival in Athens and transfer to the hotel. In the evening we include an evening transfer to the Plaka District. This neighbourhood is full of small Greek taverns where you can enjoy the rich folklore of this country.

ATHENS > FERRY BOARDING > RHODES
In the morning, sightseeing tour of ATHENS; we will discover the modern city, the Panathinaikos Stadium, the Royal Palace. Free time.

Note: If the number of participants is very limited, a “Hop on–Hop off” bus ticket may be provided in the city instead of this visit.

In the afternoon we will transfer to the port of Piraeus to board the overnight ferry, which has similar facilities to those available on cruise ships. Accommodation in a double cabin. Night on board.

RHODES
Arrival in RHODES early in the morning. We will include a tour of the city, with its impressive walled citadel, its old town that shows the traces of the different cultures (Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Knights of Saint John, Ottomans, Italians, etc.) that have lived there. Free afternoon.

DAY 04 : Breakfast / – / –
RHODES
Our tour will include an excursion to discover the island of Rhodes. We travel to PETALOUDES, “The valley of the butterflies”. From the church of Moni Panagias which has impressive views, we will begin a pleasant walk following alongside the stream, which from June to September is visited by thousands of butterflies (entrance to the Natural Park included). After that, we travel to LINDOS, whose medieval fortress and Greek Acropolis dominate the sea. You will be able to walk through the white and commercial streets of the centre, relax on its beaches or climb up (by donkey, if you wish) to the Acropolis. After lunch, we return to Rhodes. Free afternoon.

RHODES > RETHYMNO > CHANIA
Early in the morning, we will travel to the airport. We will take a flight towards the island of CRETE. Arriving in Crete, we will travel along the coast towards the west of the island. RETHYMNO, a beautiful coastal city of Venetian origin dominated by a medieval castle. CHANIA, a captivating city with an impressive fortress and stately mansions; fought over by the Romans, Byzantines, Venetians, Genoese, Turks, Egyptians and Greeks throughout its history.

Notes:

  • The schedules of direct flights between Rhodes and Crete are limited and are subject to modifications. Sometimes the flight can be undertaken on the Thursday afternoon or it can be done with a stopover in Athens.
  • On some occasions, the accommodation will be in Heraklion.

DAY 06 : Breakfast / – / –
CHANIA > HERAKLION
We will depart, following along the coast towards the east of the island. We will visit the village of Kritsa, PANAGIA KERA, a church dating back to the 13th Century with some of the best frescoes in Crete, entry tickets included. After that, AGIOS NIKOLAOS, arrival in this picturesque town with its natural harbour. There will be time to walk and have lunch. An outing round ELOUNDA, a place that was a city-state and today is a beautiful tourist enclave. At this point, our trip includes a boat trip and tickets to the island citadel of SPINALUNGA, an old Venetian fortress that later on was a leprosy colony for a long time. We return by boat and continue to HERAKLION, accommodation.

DAY 07 : Breakfast / – / –
HERAKLION > KNOSSOS
Full day in Heraklion. We include an excursion (entry tickets and guided tour) to the PALACE OF KNOSSOS, which enables us to discover the Minoan culture that gave rise to the Greek culture four thousand years ago. Afternoon free in Heraklion, the lively and pleasant capital of Crete.

DAY 08 : Breakfast / – / –
HERAKLION > SANTORINI > ATHENS
Early transfer to the port. We embark on a fast ferry to the island of SANTORINI, arriving at about 11 o’clock. We travel by bus through beautiful landscapes to OIA, which is without a doubt the most spectacular settlement on the island: white streets full of life, immense views from the cliffs, the remains of a castle and windmills. There’ll be time to walk and have lunch. After that we get to know THIRA, the capital of the island. Those who wish can go down by cable car or donkey to the port where the cruise ships arrive. Later, we continue on to the ferry port to board a fast ferry that departs around 7 pm. Arrival in Athens at midnight. End of our services.

MADRID
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Madrid city tour. Visit to the Plaza de Toros de las Ventas bullring. Stroll through the Retiro Park.
This morning, experience the city on a guided tour, which showcases the city’s vibrant centre, the beautiful Plaza Mayor (Main Square), its broad and magnificent avenues and its many fountains. Our tour includes a visit to see inside the Plaza de Toros de las Ventas, a fine-looking building. Here we learn about the tradition of “corridas” in the Bullfighting Museum. Also the day includes a walking tour of the beautiful Retiro Park, enhanced by the lake and Crystal Palace. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon. At sunset we provide transfer to the Plaza de Oriente in the historic centre of Madrid, opposite the Royal Palace. In this area there are many restaurants serving different exquisite cuisines (Indian, Middle Eastern, Muslim, Spanish, International). Return to hotel

MADRID > GRANADA
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Entrance and local guide in the Alhambra. Evening transfer.
Leaving Madrid by bus in the early morning (if the group of English-speaking travellers is fewer than 10, they will share the trip to Granada with Spanish-speaking passengers). We travel to the south across La Mancha, stopping in PUERTO LÁPICE, a ‘manchego’ village evoking the figure of Don Quixote. We will enter Andalusia via Despeñaperros. GRANADA, arrival. In the afternoon we will visit the immense Alhambra Palace, with entrance and local guide included, and its beautiful Generalife gardens, built in Arab times. Later, enjoy an evening transfer to the Plaza de Gracia in Granada’s city centre, where restaurants mix with local cultural flavour to create an unforgettable night. Choose between Spanish, international, Chinese, Latin cuisines, etc. Tonight, you have the option to attend a flamenco dance show and the traditional neighbourhood of Sacramonte.

Note: in the Alhambra complex, the Nazari palaces allow a limited number of people in at a time. In the highly improbable case of not being able to visit this area of the Alhambra, a visit to the Alcázares will be included in Seville (which have similar architecture and features).

GRANADA > MALAGA > MARBELLA > RONDA > SEVILLE
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: we will see the beautiful Andalusian village of Ronda.
We leave Granada and travel towards the Costa del Sol. MALAGA, arrival and time for a stroll in the historic centre with its cathedral and the Picasso Museum. After this we will continue along the coastal motorway with beautiful views of the Mediterranean. PUERTO BANUS, in Marbella, a pretty high level recreational port. Time for lunch. In the afternoon we will continue through the hills and their stories of bandoliers until we come to RONDA, a very beautiful white town with its large gorge that divides it in two. Continuation to SEVILLE. Arrival at the end of the afternoon.

DAY 05 : Breakfast / – / –
SEVILLE > MADRID
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Guided visit with local expert in Seville. High Speed train from Seville to Madrid.
After breakfast, a local expert guides you through a scenic visit of Seville featuring the Cathedral and its famous Giralda, the banks of the Guadalquivir river, popular neighbourhoods of Santa Cruz and Triana and the beautiful Plaza de España (note: if the group has fewer than fifteen travellers, it can be arranged in both Spanish and English). In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the train station. We travel for 2 ½ h on a high-speed train to Madrid. The train is quite comfortable and it is an enjoyable trip through Andalusian and Castilian landscapes. Possibility for the train to reach speeds of around 300 km/h (186 m/h). Arrival to Madrid and transfer to the hotel.

MADRID > ZARAGOZA > POBLET > MONTSERAT > BARCELONA
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Basílica del Pilar, visit to medieval monastery. Ride on a rack train.

We depart early in the morning from Madrid. Heading towards Aragón, we pause our journey in ZARAGOZA. Our guide will join the group to Basílica del Pilar. Directly afterwards, the group will have free time to visit this impressive sanctuary and enjoy free time in the city centre. Later, we make our way to Cataluña to the Monastery of Poblet, surrounded by walls in a beautiful setting, this is one of the best preserved medieval monasteries in the world (entrance and guided tour included). We then go on to the Monastery of Montserrat where we include a ride on the rack train for the fantastic views this gives. Continuation to BARCELONA, arrival in the late afternoon.

Important note: in the winter months, from November to March (included), due to the shorter days, the Monastery of Poblet will not be visited (so that we can reach Montserrat in the daylight).

BARCELONA
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS:
Barcelona city tour. “Spanish Village” visit and evening transfer to Las Ramblas district.
Today we will get to know Barcelona, an impressive city right on the Mediterranean Sea. Our visit includes an informative city tour with a local expert (note: If the group has fewer than fifteen people, explanations can be given by our guide.) We also visit the city’s historic central area with its Gothic neighbourhood dating back to the Middle Ages. We will visit the area where the Olympic Games took place. It will be possible to see and photograph La Sagrada Familia basilica; the masterpiece designed by the architect Gaudí. Subsequently, we include the entry ticket to “Poble Espanyol” (meaning “Spanish Village”). This open air architectural museum is situated in one of the most emblematic areas of Barcelona. Be delighted by the best Spanish craftsmanship and discover the architectural styles, traditions and folklore of the different communities in Spain. Free time to explore the city on your own. In the evening we provide transfer to Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya area, where you can select from a great variety of restaurants (including Indian, Chinese, Halal, International and regional Spanish cuisine). Return to hotel.

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Ancient Greek theatre of Epidaurus. Visit the highly picturesque seaport town of Nafplio in the Peloponnese region. Dinner is included.
We will depart for the Peloponnese region in the morning.  We will stop at the CORINTH CANAL. Afterwards, we will arrive in EPIDAURUS enjoying the view of gorgeous landscapes. We will visit the magnificent Ancient Theatre which is surrounded by a unique landscape. We will later journey to NAFPLIO, a town by the Aegean Sea. We will visit its historic centre, its lovely marina and its medieval castle. Lunch break and free time to stroll around.  We will resume our journey to OLYMPIA at mid-afternoon. Dinner included.

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Guided visit to Olympia. Overnight voyage from Greece to Italy.
We will visit OLYMPIA archeological site with a local guide. You will have a chance to visit its museum and archeological site (guided tour, ticket to the park not included) which the cradle of the Olympic games in ancient times. We will get back on route to PATRAS, Greece’s third largest city. We will visit its active, lively centre. Afterwards, we will travel to Northern Greece, AMFILOCHIA. TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: City tour of Rome. Roman Coliseum (admission price included) and visit to the Vatican City.

In the morning, we have a scenic tour of the city, which will be a great introduction to “The Eternal city”. We visit the tiny state of the Vatican. The Vatican City is a principal centre of Christianity in the world. You will be able to visit St. Peter’s Basilica. And we have also included admission to the Roman Coliseum, the principal symbol of Rome. This impressive construction dates back 2,000 years and will transport us in time so that we can learn about ancient society in the Roman Empire. In the evening we provide transport to the Via Cavour area, were you will find restaurants serving Italian, Indian, Chinese and international food. Return to hotel.

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS:
Vaporetto boat on Venice’s Grand Canal. Visit and admission to the San Marcos Basilica, where we can admire the technique of crafting Murano Glass.
Today we enjoy stunning mountain landscapes while crossing the Apennine Mountains. Arriving in VENICE, we will board a Vapporetto to travel around on the canals in the historic centre. With a local guide, we will visit the marvellous Plaza de San Marcos and enter the marvellous basilica (entry cost included). Afterwards, we shall be able to visit the Murano glass factory city. It is marvellous to see the technique of crystal blowing. Free time. At the end of the afternoon, you will have the chance to eat dinner in the Mestre area, where you can choose the type of restaurant that you prefer (Indian, Oriental, Italian, etc.).

In the morning, comprehensive tour of the Danish capital with a local guide. Copenhagen is the largest Scandinavian city, and full of contrasts: the popular “Tivoli”, Christianborg Palace, the terraces of Nyhavn, the Mermaid… In the afternoon we travel to Jutland, passing through pleasant scenery on our way. En route we take a 20km bridge over the sea and stop at ODENSE, where we can visit its gothic cathedral and the house of Andersen. Arrival at AARHUS , accommodation.

We will travel to HIRSTHALS where we will take a ferryboat to Norway crossing the North Sea. A three-hour voyage to KRISTIANSAND. We will go along Norway’s southern coastline and enjoy its gorgeous landscapes. We will stop in a picturesque small town called STAVANGER, a beautiful town that has an active port by the fjord.

On leaving the city, we will stop at the “Swords in Rock” monument, where we will remember the Vikings before continuing on the very beautiful scenic tour. We will follow the route going through tunnels, bridges and travel some stretches by boat to go along the fjord coast of Norway. One of its undersea tunnels is the deepest one in the world. This stage gets more relaxed and spectacular with its two boat trips. Arrival in BERGEN at lunch time. We include a funicular trip to Mount Fløyen which offers amazing vistas of the town and Bergen fjord. There will be some free time later to enjoy the capitol city of fjords.

Landscapes are still fantastic on this day: images of Norway’s interior region – fjords, glaciers, lakes and forests. We will travel to SOGNEFJORD, Norway’s largest fjord. Prior to arrival, we will stop at the beautiful TVINDEFOSSEN waterfall. We will go on a magnificent cruise between the cities of Gudvangen and Flam; fantastic landscapes during this two-hour voyage. We will continue our journey crossing magnificent snow-covered landscapes. We will go under Lærdal Tunnel, one of the longest in the world. Visit to BORGUND’s 12th century wooden church which is considered Norway’s best preserved medieval church. Arrival in OSLO. Free time. Check out its port, main streets, and the artworks at Frognerparken.

Sightseeing tour of this gorgeous capital city built on 13 interconnected islands. Water is everywhere. We will visit Gamla Stand or the “City between the Bridges”, Stockholm’s Old Town full of life where many of the monumental buildings are located such as the Nobel Museum, located next to Stortorget main square, which pays tribute to the winners of the Nobel Prizes, the Cathedral or the Royal Palace. When possible we can have a nice view from the Fjällgatan viewpoint. Free time. We recommend visiting its museums and parks. We also recommend visiting the Town Hall and the Vasa ship museum.

STOCKHOLM > HELSINGBORG > HELSINGOR > COPENHAGEN
We will travel south. After spending some time in the active coastal town of HELSINGBORG, we will take a ferryboat from Sweden to HELSINGOR in Denmark in the beginning of the afternoon. We will spend some time in HELSINGOR, Hamlet’s hometown, where the great Kronborg Castle stands out, before we resume our trip to COPENHAGEN, where we will arrive at the end of the afternoon. Note: On holidays or during conferences, we may soujourn Malmö, a Swedish city located 25 km from Copenhagen and connected by a fantastic suspension bridge. End of our services.

Today we have a very exciting and beautiful day. We will go to ZAANSE SCHANS with its mills, its canals and its typical houses . VOLENDAM, a very picturesque fishing village. From Volendam, on a short boat trip we will go to MARKEN, an island that was united to the mainland by a fixed dike, their houses were built on stilts. In the afternoon we include a panoramic tour of AMSTERDAM to see its narrow canals, the Dam Platz, its official buildings and parks, and will also see the technique of diamond cutting. Transfer to the red light district, with its liberal values and its many restaurants from all corners of the world. It is very likely that you will have heard about this neighbourhood.

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Feeling Belgium.
We will leave for BRUSSELS and will have time in the Grand Place and take a stop to photograph the Atomium. Later in BRUGES, the marvellous Flemish city known as the “northern little Venice”. Time for lunch. Continuation to France. PARIS, arrival at the end of the day. Recommendation: If you start or end your trip in Paris, we advise you to book an extra day or two in this city. In this way, you will be able to get to know Euro Disney, Versailles and other places of interest.

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: City tour in Paris. Climb to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. Boat ride along the Seine. Evening transfer.
A scenic guided tour to discover the history, main boulevards and the breathtaking monuments of Paris. We end the visit at the Eiffel Tower area. You will have the opportunity to climb up to the second floor of this remarkable metal monument (ticket admission included). End your visit with a boat cruise along the River Seine, which divides the north of Paris from the south. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore as you choose. Note: Sometimes queues to climb the Eiffel Tower are long. For organizational reasons, if deemed appropriate, the climb can be made at a different moment of the day (or Monday). This stage gets more relaxed and spectacular with its two boat trips. Arrival in BERGEN at lunch time. We include a funicular trip to Mount Fløyen which offers amazing vistas of the town and Bergen fjord. There will be some free time later to enjoy the capitol city of fjords.

BERGEN > OSLO
Landscapes are still fantastic on this day: images of Norway’s interior region – fjords, glaciers, lakes and forests. We will travel to SOGNEFJORD, Norway’s largest fjord. Prior to arrival, we will stop at the beautiful TVINDEFOSSEN waterfall. We will go on a magnificent cruise between the cities of Gudvangen and Flam; fantastic landscapes during this two-hour voyage. We will continue our journey crossing magnificent snow-covered landscapes. We will go under Lærdal Tunnel, one of the longest in the world. Visit to BORGUND’s 12th century wooden church which is considered Norway’s best preserved medieval church. Arrival in OSLO. Free time. Check out its port, main streets, and the artworks at Frognerparken.

OSLO > OREBRO > ESTOCOLMO
We will spend some time in OSLO before departing for Sweden. Landscapes with forests and lakes. Stop OREBRO, town next to a beautiful lake with a castle and charming historic center. . Time for stroll and lunch. Arrival in STOCKHOLM in the evening.

STOCKHOLM
Sightseeing tour of this gorgeous capital city built on 13 interconnected islands. Water is everywhere. We will visit Gamla Stand or the “City between the Bridges”, Stockholm’s Old Town full of life where many of the monumental buildings are located such as the Nobel Museum, located next to Stortorget main square, which pays tribute to the winners of the Nobel Prizes, the Cathedral or the Royal Palace. When possible we can have a nice view from the Fjällgatan viewpoint. Free time. We recommend visiting its museums and parks. We also recommend visiting the Town Hall and the Vasa ship museum.

STOCKHOLM > FERRY BOARDING
Free day in Stockholm. In the evening we will board a modern ferry, overnight accommodation in double cabins with private bathroom to go to Finland.

TURKU FERRY > NAANTALI > HELSINKI
We recommend you to go to the ship deck at sunrise; we arrive to Finland by sailing along Aland Islands, contemplating hundreds of islands covered by forests. We shall see mesmerizing landscapes from the sea. Disembarkation and time to walk around TURKU, a city with a very strong Swedish influence. We continue our journey to the neighbor city of NAANTALI, very picturesque town of wooden houses next to the sea. We will later arrive in HELSINKI, time for lunch. Free afternoon, you will be able to get to know this city, with its old market, the Russian influence in its buildings and churches.

HELSINKI > TALLINN
We include a boat trip (regular line water local transport) to Suomenlinna Islands, – six islands where we highlight a great fortress that used to protect the sea entry to the city and was declared World Heritage – Time to stroll around (we will be able to cross island through its small pedestrian bridges). Later we shall board a ferry to Estonia; Ferry trip of around 2h30 duration; we suggest to admire the departure from Helsinki and the surrounding islands. Arrival to TALLINN.

Get to know LONDON on a locally guided tour featuring style, cul­ture and history. See the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, the Tower of Lon­don and Buckingham Palace, where we shall be able to watch the famous “Changing of the Guard” (depending on the season). If you wish, later on, we recommend that you go to the “London Eye” ferris wheel.In the afternoon, at 5pm, after a period of free time, we invite all our travellers to a traditional Afternoon Tea. In the evening, a stroll through Leicester Square, China Town and Soho, with its atmosphere, its theaters and its entertainment. Sit down for dinner at your preferred restaurant (Indian, Chinese, Thai, in­ternational, and so on) in the lively district.

We will depart from London toward northern England. We will stop in CAMBRIDGE to admire its beautiful residential colleges. After lunchtime, we will continue to YORK where its cathedral, its Roman walls and lively shopping streets will create a charming memory. Time for a stroll. Afterwards, we will continue north. DURHAM. Arrival in this small, charming medieval town full of life which has a wonderful cathedral right in front of its castle.

DURHAM > ALNWICH > EDINBURGH
We will travel to Scotland. We will stop in ALNWICK, a picturesque town with lovely gardens and a big medieval castle where the Harry Potter film was shot. We will later continue to EDINBURGH, where we will arrive at noon. This is Scotland’s capital city and one of the most active cities in Northern Europe. Its monumental centre has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its castle overlooks the city, its steep streets and its parks. Sightseeing tour with a local guide included.

EDINBURGH > DISTILLERY > INVERNESS > LAGO NESS > GLASGOW
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Visit included to a whisky distillery. Loch Ness
We will continue enjoying a stage with gorgeous landscapes in the Scottish Highlands. We will make a stop to know a traditional whisky distillery. We will pass by INVERNESS the north of Scotland, city located very near the mysterious Loch Ness. After lunch we include the tickets to enter URQUHART medieval castle from where we will make a boat trip on the dark waters of the lake. Afterwards, we will travel throught FORT AUGUST with its sluice gate system and FORT WILLIAM, a tourist centre at the foot of Ben Nevis, the highest summit in the United Kingdom. We will return south through the high plateaus where it is not difficult to glimpse the snow before contouring Loch Lomond, one of the most popular lakes in Scotland. Arrival in GLASGOW at the end of the day.

We will depart from Glasgow toward southern Scotland. We will board a ferryboat in Cairnryan. Journey toward Northern Ireland. Arrival in BELFAST, Northern Ireland’s capital city. This monumental city is overcoming its religious conflicts. We will resume our journey to EIRE (Ireland). Arrival in DUBLIN at the end of the day.

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Transfer to Plaka district.
Arrival in Athens and transfer to the hotel. In the evening we include an evening transfer to the Plaka District. This neighbourhood is full of small Greek taverns where you can enjoy the rich folklore of this country.

ATHENS > FERRY BOARDING > RHODES
In the morning, sightseeing tour of ATHENS; we will discover the modern city, the Panathinaikos Stadium, the Royal Palace. Free time.
Note: If the number of participants is very limited, a “Hop on–Hop off” bus ticket may be provided in the city instead of this visit.
In the afternoon we will transfer to the port of Piraeus to board the overnight ferry, which has similar facilities to those available on cruise ships. Accommodation in a double cabin. Night on board

RHODES
Arrival in RHODES early in the morning. We will include a tour of the city, with its impressive walled citadel, its old town that shows the traces of the different cultures (Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Knights of Saint John, Ottomans, Italians, etc.) that have lived there. Free afternoon.

DAY 04 : Breakfast / – / –
RHODES
Our tour will include an excursion to discover the island of Rhodes. We travel to PETALOUDES, “The valley of the butterflies”. From the church of Moni Panagias which has impressive views, we will begin a pleasant walk following alongside the stream, which from June to September is visited by thousands of butterflies (entrance to the Natural Park included). After that, we travel to LINDOS, whose medieval fortress and Greek Acropolis dominate the sea. You will be able to walk through the white and commercial streets of the centre, relax on its beaches or climb up (by donkey, if you wish) to the Acropolis. After lunch, we return to Rhodes. Free afternoon.

DAY 05 : Breakfast / – / –
RHODES > RETHYMNO > CHANIA
Early in the morning, we will travel to the airport. We will take a flight towards the island of CRETE. Arriving in Crete, we will travel along the coast towards the west of the island. RETHYMNO, a beautiful coastal city of Venetian origin dominated by a medieval castle. CHANIA, a captivating city with an impressive fortress and stately mansions; fought over by the Romans, Byzantines, Venetians, Genoese, Turks, Egyptians and Greeks throughout its history.
Note: The schedules of direct flights between Rhodes and Crete are limited and are subject to modifications. Sometimes the flight can be undertaken on the Thursday afternoon or it can be done with a stopover in Athens.
Note: On some occasions, the accommodation will be in Heraklion.

DAY 06 : Breakfast / – / –
CHANIA > HERAKLION
We will depart, following along the coast towards the east of the island. We will visit the village of Kritsa, PANAGIA KERA, a church dating back to the 13th Century with some of the best frescoes in Crete, entry tickets included. After that, AGIOS NIKOLAOS, arrival in this picturesque town with its natural harbour. There will be time to walk and have lunch. An outing round ELOUNDA, a place that was a city-state and today is a beautiful tourist enclave. At this point, our trip includes a boat trip and tickets to the island citadel of SPINALUNGA, an old Venetian fortress that later on was a leprosy colony for a long time. We return by boat and continue to HERAKLION, accommodation.

HERAKLION > KNOSSOS
Full day in Heraklion. We include an excursion (entry tickets and guided tour) to the PALACE OF KNOSSOS, which enables us to discover the Minoan culture that gave rise to the Greek culture four thousand years ago. Afternoon free in Heraklion, the lively and pleasant capital of Crete.

DAY 08 : Breakfast / – / –
HERAKLION > SANTORINI
Early transfer to the port. We embark on a fast ferry to the island of SANTORINI, arriving at about 11 o’clock. We travel by bus through beautiful landscapes to OIA, which is without a doubt the most spectacular settlement on the island: white streets full of life, immense views from the cliffs, the remains of a castle and windmills. There’ll be time to walk and have lunch. After that we get to know THIRA, the capital of the island.

SANTORINI > MYKONOS
After breakfast we take the ferry to MYKONOS. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation. According to mythology, it was on this island that there was the battle between Zeus and the Giants. Rest of the day free to wander in the little streets to visit the little Venice and the classical windmills.

MYKONOS
Breakfast. Free day to enjoy the island. We recommend visiting the island of Delos, the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis and one of the most sacred places of ancient Greece, or simply visit the famous Paradise and Super Paradise beaches.

MYKONOS > DEPARTURE ATHENS
Breakfast. At the indicated time, transfer to the port to embark on the ferry boat to Athens. Arrival to the port of Piraeus at night (around 23.00hrs).
